Curriculum Development: 23; Case Studies in this area demonstrate how via working with industrial input the educational experience has been enhanced. The vocational nature of the Built Environment as an educational discipline means that it benefits greatly the student learning experience to apply their theortical understanding to practice based problems. These case studies show how ICT, specialist industrial input and varied learning styles have improved the curriculum provision across HEI's as a result of collaboration.
Workforce development & Upskilling: 15; By engaging with academic partners industry is often able to address a specific business need. Often this results in identification of training needs or upskilling of staff in order to effectively develop new procedures or systems. These case studies highlight where in collaboration with an academic institution industry has either received bespoke training provision or upskilling or that this has been acheived through the development of joint activities.
