This is the second publication in the employer engagements series. This pack is designed as a resource for anyone who is developing and implementing a strategy to engage employers. Our aim is to provide materials which address and explore the challenges of engaging and working with employers within the Higher Education system.

CEBE is pleased to announce the launch of their New Handbook Series on Employer Engagement. The first publication is on Work-based Learning.

This pack has been prepared as a resource for anyone who is designing developing or modifying an existing curriculum to use with employers. Our aim is to provide materials which address and explore the challenges of designing and delivering work-based learning.

New CKE Case Studies Available Online Now!

New CKE case studies are now available in addition to the large body of knowledge exchange evidence gathered throughout the project. The case studies represent good practice encourage their wider adoption and further development across the construction sector.   

Covering areas including education and training, innovation and technology there is a wide range of material that is designed to be of use and interest to those engaged in knowledge exchange operating in education, industry or intermediary bodies.

Free Learning Resource - Construction Site Hazard Management DVD

The awareness of hazards on Construction sites underpins both personal safety and risk management process.

  ‘Construction Site Hazard Management’ supports the development of the safety hazard management knowledge and practice on the construction projects. It is a compendium of the work of undergraduate students of the Construction related and Media Production Programmes at Northumbria University.  

This learning resource documents a large city construction site and contains some 29 hazard management case study presentations. The site film and each presentation has been researched and developed by undergraduate students to provide over 5 hours of learning material.  

Construction Site Hazard Management can be used to support the delivery of lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials. It can also be utilised by students as a resource for independent or distance learning.
